Guidance with the child in mind.

The Family Time Practice Series is a practical collection of child-centred books for the people who make family time happen: workers, parents, foster carers, kinship carers and the professionals around them. Together, the books support safer preparation, clearer boundaries, stronger recording, more thoughtful communication and a better understanding of what children may experience before, during and after family time.

About the Author

Katarzyna Scibior

I am a family worker and contact supervisor with over 15 years of experience supporting children, parents, carers, and professionals around family time and supervised contact in the UK.

Family time can be one of the most emotionally demanding parts of a child’s experience. I created these resources to make the process easier to understand, more thoughtful in practice, and more supportive for the children at the centre of it.

My work is grounded in child-centred support, clear communication, and practical guidance for parents, foster carers, and professionals navigating complex situations. This website brings together books and resources designed to support safer, more meaningful family time.
